Effects of annealing temperatures on electrochemical properties of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathode materials

Abstract: LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathode materials were synthesized by co-precipitated method,and the samples were annealed at different temperatures.Effects of the annealing temperatures on the electrochemical properties of the materials were studied.Results showed that the annealing temperature led to the change of Mn3+ content in LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathode material,thereby affecting the rate performance and cycle performance of the materials.The sample annealed at 625 ℃ for 8 h presented the best electrochemical performance.Its fist discharge capacity reached 130.8 mA·h/g at the rates of 0.2 C,and 126.5 mA·h/g at the rates of 1 C.The capacity retention after 50 cycles at 1 C was 100.8%.
