Abstract: Lithium is honored as ‘high energy metal’ as it has a very particular position in atomic energy industry,it promotes the development of energy industry, especially battery technology.ICP-MS was used to test the trace elements of aluminous rocks in Central Guizhou and the results indicated the rocks had high content of lithium, about 500 g/t,which met the qualification to extract.Separation and enrichment experiments for lithium in the aluminous rocks were carried out by the use of hydrochloric acid as the leaching liquid, and the optimum technological conditions were obtained:calcination temperature was 800 ℃,volume-mass ratio of 10%(mass fraction) hydrochloric acid to mineral powder was 4 mL/g,reaction temperature was 60 ℃,and reaction time was 2 h.Under the optimum conditions, the Li leaching rate reached 95.35%.
