Abstract: The copper oxide(CuO) samples were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method, with Cu(NO32·3H2O and NaOH as raw materials. X-ray diffraction was employed to characterize the structure of the CuO samples. Influences of pH, reaction time, and concentration of reactants on the structure and electrochemical performance of CuO were also discussed. Results showed that the initial charge and discharge specific capacity of the prepared CuO anode materials were 406.5 mA·h/g and 867.4 mA·h/g at 0.1 C(67 mA/g) respectively, and showed good capacity retention during high rate cycles.
