Research progress on anode material LiTi2(PO43 for lithium-ion batteries

Abstract:

As a novel anode material for lithium-ion batteries,NASICON-type structure lithium titanium phosphate[LiTi2(PO43] has been regarded as the most promising anode material due to its advantages such as environmental friendliness,good cycling performance and excellent thermal stability.LiTi2(PO43 has a theoretical specific capacity of 138 mA·h/g and a stable voltage plateau of 2.5 V.However,the low electronic conductivity and low lithium-ion diffusion coefficient of LiTi2(PO43 restrict its practical application.Thus,as response to the above shortcomings,many researchers modified LiTi2(PO43 to greatly improve its electronic conductivity and lithium-ion diffusion coefficient.The structure and performance characteristics of LiTi2(PO43 were presented briefly.The research progress on preparation and modification methods in recent years were mainly reviewed.Finally,the problems of LiTi2(PO43 materials in current research were pointed out and its future application prospect was also forecasted.
