Abstract

Abstract: The cryolite with high molecular ratio that prepared by wet process phosphoric acid by-product fluosilicic acid con- taining a certain amount of silica，sometimes it was as high as 1%（mass fraction）.In order to achieve the standards，the pro- ducts must carry out the desilication treatment.The causes and removal ideas for high silica content in the product were theo- retically analyzed.Then the desilication experiments were made through acid washing，alkali washing，high temperature calci- nations，and other methods，and the effect of silica removal and its influence on the product were analyzed.Finally，qualified cryolite product with high molecular ratio was obtained，under the conditions of hydrofluoric acid leaching and calcination treatment at 400 ℃.
