Abstract: The detoxification of chromium residue using yellow phosphorus tail gas was researched. Experimental approach and process conditions: chromium residue, which contained 1% Cr(Ⅵ)[w(Na2CrO4)],was crashed to 75 μm below. Then, 5 g sample was took into quartz tube, reaction occurred in 600 ℃ for 20 min,and reactants was protected in yellow phosphorus tail gas till to cool below 200 ℃.Experiment results showed that,Cr(Ⅵ) in chromium residue could be reduced to 0.3 mg/kg,and had none brightness reversion phenomenon.
