Abstract: Adsorption characteristics of K+ were studied with the 001×7 strong acid cation exchange resin as the sorbent in a semi-continuous packed moving-bed ion-exchange equipment. Results showed that adsorption rate of K+ was over 99.71% in the whole column, and the adsorption saturation of resin was 90.76%;the adsorption time operated in the semi-continuous packed moving-bed was 3/8 of that in fixed bed,by using the same equipment and under the same conditions of feed and control requirements. The study showed that packed moving-bed ion-exchange equipment had extensive application prospects, and the research results could provide the basis for the operation and structural optimization of packed moving-bed.

Key words: packed moving-bed, adsorption of K+, ion-exchange, semi-continuous
