Study on extraction purification of phosphoric acid in asymmetric rotating disc column

Abstract: Characteristics of asymmetric rotating disc column (ARDC) applied in extracting distilled water/wet-process phosphoric acid/tributyl phosphate (TBP) + aviation kerosene experimental system were discussed.Effects of residence time,phase ratio, and rotation Reynolds number on extraction and reverse extraction efficiencies were investigated. Results showed that ARDC was applicable for TBP-phosphoric acid extraction system with relatively high extraction efficiency.Optimum operation conditions for extraction were as follows: phase ratio of organic phase and aqueous phase was 4, residence time was 30 min, and rotation Reynolds number was about 2 300, then the extract efficiency of phosphoric acid could reach about 53.77%; for the reverse extraction,when phase ratio of organic phase and aqueous phase was 6,residence time was 25 min, and rotation Reynolds number was about 6 500, then the efficiency could reach about 90.66%.
