Abstract:

There are three kinds of ameliorant, such as biomass charcoal, hydrated lime and the mixed ameliorant of biomass charcoal and hydrated lime, were used to modify electrolytic manganese slag under pot condition. Then the ryegrass and white clover were planted on the modified substrates. The effects of different modified substrates on the growth of pastures and the migration of Mn and Cd in the environment were researched. The result of research showed:a)The improvement of three ame-liorants reduced the seedling emergence rate of two grass species. And different ameliorants has different effect. But the plant height and biomass of pastures is be significantly increased, especially the mixed ameliorant of biomass charcoal and hydrat-ed lime.b)All three kinds of ameliorant could reduce the contents of Mn and Cd in pastures, among which biomass charcoal has the best effect.c)Three kinds of ameliorant were used to improve the leaching migration of Mn and Cd in the planed pas-tures,among which the mixed ameliorant of biomass charcoal and hydrated lime were the most effective modification to de-crease Mn and Cd into the environment.
