Size control of water soluble macromolecules to silica microspheres

摘要: 采用正硅酸乙酯,在不同类型的水溶性高分子的氨水-乙醇溶液中进行溶胶-凝胶反应制备二氧化硅微球。考察了不同类型的水溶性高分子,如:均聚物聚乙烯吡咯烷酮和具有不同相对分子质量及链段长度的嵌段共聚物聚氧化乙烯氧化丙烯氧化乙烯P123、P104、F108、F127,对二氧化硅微球成分和尺寸的影响,并用热重分析仪、纳米粒度分析仪及扫描电镜等进行表征。结果表明:微球中均不含有高分子,但高分子的加入影响了微球的粒径和粒径分布。微球粒径随P123加入量的增加而显著降低。当P123加入量为0.6 g时(其他条件:氨水18.0 g,乙醇30.0 g,正硅酸乙酯2.0 mL),微球粒径从未加入高分子时的529 nm降为293 nm。

Abstract: Silica microspheres were prepared by sol-gel processing of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) in ethanol-ammonia aqueous solution containing different kinds of water soluble polymers.Effects of kinds of polymers,such as homopolymer poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) and block copolymers poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) with different molecular weights and length of chain segment (i.e.P123,P104,F108,F127) on components and size of silica mi-crospheres were investigated and characterized by the measurements of thermogravimetry(TG),nanoparticle tracking analy-sis(NTA),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Results showed that water soluble polymers were not in the micro-spheres,but that affected the particle size and distribution.The particle size decreased apparently by increasing the amount of P123.The size of microsphere prepared using 0.6 g of P123(other conditions:ammonia of 18.0 g,ethanol of 30.0 g,and TEOS  of 2.0 mL) was 293 nm,much smaller than 529 nm in size of particle in free P123 case.
