Abstract: Silicate，iron，sodium，aluminum，calcium，and nickel in high-quality flaky potassium hydroxide were respectively detected with visual colorimetry，spectrophotometry，and atomic absorption spectrometry.These methods are too complex and need too much time.Now the six elements（silicate，iron，sodium，aluminum，calcium，and nickel） can be detected at the same time with inductively coupled plasma spectrometry.The method is simple and rapid，and has a high precision and accuracy.
