Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">Latest progress in studies on preparation and applications of calcium peroxide was reviewed.Calcium per-oxide can be prepared by calcium salt method,calcium oxide method,calcium hydroxide method,air cathode method,and spray method etc..During the preparation,in order to increase the utilization efficiency of hydrogen peroxide and to increase the content of calcium peroxide in products,a stabilizer was usually used.For the purpose of improving oxygen supply,embedded calcium peroxide has been prepared to provide a prolonged and sustained oxygen supply.Application of calcium peroxide has become wider and wider.It was not only used in the fields of rice direct sowing,edible fungus production,soil improvement,aquiculture,wastewater treatment,chemical production,and air purification etc.,but also it has been used as food and feed additive,fruit and vegetable preservative,assisting agent for gold extraction by cyanidation and so on. </SPAN>
