Abstract: TiO<SUB>2</SUB> with high specific surface area was widely used in many fields including catalyst,semiconductor,sensitive elements,and electronoic ceramics etc.in recent years,for its advantages of stable chemical property,difficult dissolution,and low cost etc..Especially,titanium dioxide is a good candidate as new catalyst carrier and has been applied by&nbsp; many researchers.Several mostly used liquid-phase synthesis methods for TiO<SUB>2</SUB>with high specific surface area were reviewed,and their latest research progress and basic synthesis mechanism were also described.
