Abstract: Production status and process features of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) in China were introduced briefly.Through the analysis on the norm quota of product consumption and market conditions,it pointed out there are still problems,such as high consumption,high production cost,and poor profit on STPP product.Based on the concept of scientific development and circular economy,strategies for sustainable development of STPP in China were put forward,for example comprehensive utilization of phosphorus furnace slag,waste heat of phosphorus combustion,and sludge phosphorus;with purified wet-process phosphoric acid as raw material so as to lower production cost of STPP；accelerate the development of new technology with kiln-process phosphoric acid in place of thermal-process phosphoric acid in the production of STPP.
