Abstract: A technical and economic analysis was carried out on an improved double?鄄cycle process using sodium sulfate for alkali production in a sodium?鄄alkali desulfurization solution.The process directly uses the sodium?鄄alkali desulfurization solution as raw material for producing sodium carbonate and ammonium sulfate，which has the advantages of high utilization rate of raw materials，no pollution discharge and low energy consumption.The economic analysis of the 60 000 t/a soda ash project was carried out，the equipment investment was 55.90 million yuan RMB，the investment profit rate was 28.25%，the internal rate of return was 19.75% and the static investment payback period was 6.81 a.The project was of good economics，which had an important guiding significance for further promotion of the sodium desulfurization process.
