In order to solve the water color change caused by high concentration iron-containing wastewater,a pilot scale experiment for deep treatment of pretreated wastewater from titanium dioxide production was carried out by using an high efficient coagulation settlement technology.Through aeration, neutralization, flocculation, coagulation as well as filtering treatment and controlling pH,adding dosage, flocculation, and coagulation-settling time in the process, iron content of wastewater at the outlet was declined to 1 mg/L which reached the primary standard requirements of the National Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978—1996).At the same time,COD and concentration of ammonia-and-nitrogen were also decreased obviously. Therefore,it is entirely feasible to promote the technology to the industrial practice.
