Abstract: Ammonium ferric hydrogen phosphate was prepared via solid state reaction at room temperature with ferrous sulfate (FeSO↓4·7H↓2O) and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (NH↓4H↓2PO↓4·12H↓2O) as raw materials and polyethylene glycol (PEG-400) as surfactant. The analysis and characterization results of XRD indicated that the molecular formula of the product was (NH↓4)Fe(HPO↓4)↓2.Synthesis experiments of butyl acetate were done with ammonium ferric hydrogen phosphate as catalyzer. The uniform experimental design as well as data mining technique were applied in the experiments.Under the direction of data mining results, experiments were made to investigate the effect of the test factors, such as amount of catalyzer,amount-of-substance ratio of alcohol to acid, reaction time and repeated using times of catalyzer etc.on yield of product and optimal conditions of catalytic reaction was obtained. The results of catalytic tests showed that ammonium ferric hydrogen phosphate had good catalysis activity, and the reaction yield reached 96.4% at the optimal conditions. The work of this paper showed that ammonium ferric hydrogen phosphate had good potential for industry application for it was not only feasible and simple in synthesis technics, but also had good catalysis activity for synthesis of butyl acetate.
