Application of automatic ceramic membrane thickener in production of precipitated calcium carbonate

Abstract: Ceramic membrane is a kind of asymmetric membrane and is made from inorganic ceramic by special process. Ceramic membrane has narrow pore size distribution,good chemical stability,high temperature resistance,strong ability to resist pollution,as well as good mechanical strength and membrane regeneration performance.Automatic ceramic membrane thickener was designed and manufactured,and was applied as a thickener in the filtration process of precipitated calcium carbonate(PCC) production to raise the concentration of PCC before filtration operation.It will be improved the efficiency of the centrifuge dehydration,shorten the filtration operation cycle,and minimize the loss of PCC.
