Abstract: Inorganic nano-materials having anti-reflection function，self-cleaning function，and luminescence conversion function used in solar cell and their working principles, preparation methods，technique keys，and improving directions were introduced separately.The progress of patents of multifunctional inorganic nano-materials in improving the solar cell efficiency was summarized. It was suggested that multifunctional inorganic nano-materials will replace existing anti-reflection and self-cleaning nano-materials. It will be the next technical breakthrough of solar cell.
