Abstract: According to the development direction of comprehensive utilization of titanium resources，the oxidization effec- tiveness and main phase transformation of Panzhihua ilmenite were analyzed in the heating process by using XRD，mineral SEM，and TG-DTA.The initial oxidization temperature，growth trends of oxidation rate，and phase transformation（the main  phase of ilmenite concentrate was transformed into hematite， rutile synthetic， and pseudobrookite successively in the oxidation process） were obtained，which provided a fundamental basis for producing high quality titanium-based material from Panzhihua ilmenite concentrate by oxidization modification.
