Study on influencing factors of iron impurity content in synthesis of aluminum alkoxide

Abstract: In the synthesis process of aluminum alkoxide,the iron impurity existed in aluminum also reacts with alcohol.The influences of some factors,such as mix ratio of reactants,reaction atmosphere,catalyst,and kinds of alcohol,on the iron impurity content of aluminum hexanol were studied.Results showed that: the reactants and catalyst had no effect on iron impurity content,but the reaction atmosphere was an important factor to influence it,and oxygen could restraint the formation of iron-containing organic matter.This law can apply to iron impurity content studies of various aluminum alkoxide productions.
