Abstract: Polysilicon is the  raw material for producing of monocrystalline silicon and solar cells，so it is the cornerstone of the electronics industry and the photovoltaic industry in the world.The preparation methods of solar-grade polysilicon and the production status of China′s polysilicon were summarized.It was proposed that metallurgy method and sodium reduction method（chemical method） had good prospect for the production of solar-grade polysilicon in China in the future，due to their characters of low energy consumption and no toxic gas emission.
