Abstract: Research and identification on two different determination methods (silver chloride turbidimetry and spectrophotometry) for chloride content in industrial strontium carbonate were made.Results showed that both of the methods were scientific,classical,easy for handling,and the test results did not have obvious difference.Detailed data of chloride content could be obtained by spectrophotometry,which is a remedy for deficiency of silver chloride turbidimetry,because it could only get the semiquantitative data. In addition,test result by spectrophotometry more scientifically reflected the true value of product quality and could meet the requirements of different customers.
