Abstract: Waste gypsum whose main content is calcium sulfate,is the waste residue in phosphate fertilizer industries.There is a large discharge amount in China.It not only pollutes environment,but also occupies a great deal of land.Therefore,it is significant to develop new high-value-added ways for comprehensive utilization of waste gypsum as early as possible.A new technology of recovering calcium and sulfur resources in waste gypsum was introduced,through the procedures,such as reduction calcination,leaching,and CO<SUB>2</SUB> displacement etc.,calcium and sulfur can be fully recovered to make superfine calcium carbonate and calcium hydrosulfide with good effect.<BR>
