Study on particle size growth and control technology of large particle size silicon sol

Abstract: Large particle size silicon sol has been widely used in many industries,such as coating,chemical mechanical polishing,and catalyst carrier.Large particle size silicon sol was prepared by silicon powder oxidation with addition of catalyst.Properties,classification,and application of large particle size silicon sol were emphatically introduced,and the particle size growth mechanism in the preparation process of large particle size silicon sol under different conditions was analyzed.Relationship between the concentration and particle size growth has been investigated by concentrated distillation experiment with addition of anionic surfactant.Results showed that the particle size of large particle size silicon sol increased at first and then declined as its concentration increased.At last,processes for controlling particle size of large particle size silicon sol were also proposed. 
