Study on production of polymeric silicate-aluminum sulfate by aluminum sulfate and its waste residue

Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US>A method through the introduction of aluminum salt into polymeric silicic acid to prepare polymeric</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 宋体; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman""> </SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>silicate-</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>aluminum sulfate (PASS) has passed success.The method used industrial aluminum sulfate produced by the reaction of bauxite powder and sulfuric acid under pressure and its waste residue (silica as main ingredient) as raw materials.The factors [pH and</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>n</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>(Al)/</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>n</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>(Si)]</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>affecting the stability and the flocculating performance of the product were discussed.Finally,in order to further validate the relevant conclusions and product</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 宋体; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman"">′</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US>s flocculating performance,contrast experiment had been made on PASS,aluminum sulfate and polyaluminium chloride (PAC) with Xiaofu River water as treatment target.Results showed that this method is not only benefits the enterprise,but also can recycle the waste products,which creates a higher value and has good social and economic-benefits.</SPAN>
