Study on determination of strontium content in gypsum and gypsum products

Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">Strontium is a comman impurity element in gypsum and gypsum products.It does great harm on human body because its isotopes,such as Sr 85,Sr 89,and Sr 90,have a longer radioactive half-life.Traditional method of determination of strontium content is not suitable for gypsum and gypsum products.Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) was used to determine strontium content in gypsum and gypsum products.This method is fast,accurate,and reproducible,which can meet the requriements of inspection and quarantine.</SPAN>
