Study on technology of co-preparing ammonium bifluoride and silica white by fluorosilicic acid process

Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">A new manufacturing technology of ammonium bifluoride was studied.Fluorosilicic acid,which is a by-product in the production of phosphate fertilizers was adopted to react with ammonia liquor,and then the runny paste of silica and the solution of ammonium fluoride were obtained after separation and filtering.Rinsed and desiccated,silica white was obtained from runny paste.Through introducing anhydrous hydrofluoric acid into ammonium fluoride solution and controlling pH at a certain value,ammonium bifluoride slurry was prepared.Filtering the slurry and the final ammonium bifluoride product could be prepared by vacuum drying the filter cake at low temperature.Ammonium bifluoride produced by this technology has the features of low cost and effective utilization of resources because it adopted by-product fluorosilicic acid as raw material.Furthermore,the products have high quality and accord with relevant industry standards. </SPAN>
