Abstract:

In the production of cyanoacetic acid and cyanuric chloride,a large amount of cyanide-contained industrial waste salt is produced as a by-product.The industrial waste salt needs to be further refined to be recycled due to the highly toxic cyanide and other organic impurities.High temperature oxidation method was employed to remove the impurities in the in-dustrial waste salt with experimental fluidized bed.The results showed that the TOC,inorganic ammonium and total ammoni-um in the industrial waste salt can reach the standard of raw material salt for ionic membrane caustic soda after high tempera-ture oxidation treated in the fluidized bed at above 700 ℃ for 3 min,and there was no cyanide detected. This study provides an experimental basis for the scale up of the cyanide industrial waste salt refining process and apparatus.
