Research progress of production technology of potassium sulfate

Abstract: Potassium sulfate is a widely accepted good fertilizer,and it is of great significance for the development of agriculture in China.Seeking an efficient and convenient synthesis technology for it is significantly important due to the scarceness of potassium resources in China.The actuality of potassium fertilizer resources in China and abroad was introduced in this study,especially the methods and characteristics of several kinds of potassium sulfate production,including the conversion of sulfuric acid or sulfate and potassium chloride into potassium sulfate,the using of sulfate ore or potassium salt mine,and the extraction of potassium sulfate from the bittern of salt lake.Considering the characteristics of potassium resources of China,the development trend of potassium sulfate industry in China was also prospected.
