Abstract: Leucite crystals were synthesized by molten salt method and with calcined bentonnite as  raw material. For synthesis process, certain amount of potassium sulfate and aluminum sulfate were added.By using orthogonal testing analysis, the effects of K/Si amount-of-substance ratio, calcinate temperature, and holding time on the synthesis process were investigated, and the optimum technological conditions of synthesis leucite crystals were determined. The samples were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis(TG-DSC),X-ray diffractometer(XRD),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and the formation mechanism of leucite was proposed.
