Abstract: As a kind of photosensitizer, silver halide was brushed on the surface of ordinary sheet glass.A photochromic sinter membrane will form on the glass surface after sintering.Light transmittances of glasses with various types of silver halide composition of photochromic sinter membrane were tested. And also, light transmittances before and after heat-treated at 500 ℃ for 1 h.Development prospect and direction of glasses with photochromic sinter membrane were discussed on the basis of test data analysis and photochromic mechanism.Glasses with photochromic sinter membrane, which can thoroughly recover the disadvantages, such as expensive, easily peeled off, easily fatigue, and short-life of existing photochromic glasses, had a broad application prospect in the fields of building and automotive etc..
