Abstract: With electrolytic manganese residue and waste glass as raw materials, ceramic tiles were prepared by low temperature sintering method. The effects of sintering temperature, and contents of electrolytic manganese and waste glass on the basic properties of ceramic tiles were investigated. The results showed that when the sintering temperature increased, the water absorption of ceramic tiles decreased firstly and then increased, and the bulk density increased firstly and then decreased;the water absorption decreased and the bulk density increased with the decrease content of manganese slag. The water absorption increased and the bulk density decreased with the decrease content of waste glass. When the temperature was 900 ℃,additive dosage of electrolytic manganese residue was 32%(mass fraction),and waste glass amount was 10 g,the water absorption was the lowest and the bulk density was the highest.
