Research on dezincification of blast furnace flue slime by carbothermal reduction method

Abstract: The dezincification of blast furnace flue slime was investigated by carbothermal reduction method.Researching results showed that zinc in the blast furnace flue slime could be effectively removed by carbothermal reduction method.Under the optimum conditions of sintering temperature of 1 423 K,sintering time of 180 min,and material′s particle size at 9.5~10.5 mm,dezincification rate of the blast furnace flue slime could be as high as 99.2%,and zinc content of the sintering remaining slag was less than 0.15%. The remaining slag could be returned to the blast furnace.
