Abstract: Traditional coal slime drying equipment is rotary drum dryer，which is mainly in the form of convective heat transfer of drying. It is characterized of low thermal efficiency，high requirement to the convective medium temperature，which belongs to the high temperature drying，high one-time investment and large covers of area.A new technology for coal slime drying，which gives priority to heat conduction and takes convection heat transfer as complement，was introduced.The performance，characteristics，working principle，and structure of hollow blade type dryer were introduced.And its application in the coal slime industry was also reviewed.The equipment belongs to the low temperature mixing type drying equipment.
