Advances in synthesis and modification of ZSM-5 zeolite

Abstract: ZSM-5 zeolite is a common shape-selective molecular sieve in the cracking progress,which has excellent thermal stability,acid resistance,and shape selectivity.Addition of ZSM-5 would increase gasoline octane number and yield of olefin.Nowadays catalytic cracking was the most important part of heavy oil processing and crude processing volume was over 4.0×108 t/a in China in 2013.The heavy inferior crude oil processing by catalytic cracking would remain the priority of the refineries in the future.Recent progress of synthesis and modification of ZSM-5 zeolite at home and abroad were summarized.It would offer some references and experiences in the furture synthesis and modification of ZSM-5 zeolite.
