Abstract: The fluidization properties of phosphogypsum(PG) particles in vibro-fluidized bed(VFB) was studied by cold- state experiment. Results showed that the fluidization performance of PG particles was very poor in the ordinary fluidized bed,and it was difficult to achieve normal fluidized state. Therefore it was not suitable for fluidized decomposition of PG in ordinary fluidized bed. However, the introduction of vibration energy can greatly improve the fluidized performance of PG particles. The influences of amplitude and feed height-diameter ratio on bed pressure drop, expansion ratio, and the minimum fluidization velocity of PG particles were investigated. It provided a theoretical basis for selection of experimental conditions of the thermal model experiment.
