Abstract: Taking the Industrial Basic Chromium Sulfate Standard HG/T 2678—2007 as the  testing standard,a process of producing basic chromium sulfate from vanadium-chromium slag that was recycled from the wastewater of producing vanadium was researched. At first, the curing of chromium slag, from which the vanadium had been extracted, was made by concentrated acid to extract chromium from the slag. And then, the iron in leaching solution was removed for producing the chromium hydroxide meeting the purity requirements. At last, according to product requirements a certain amount of sulfuric acid was added in the purified liquid to produce the basic chromium sulfate. In the process the recovery rate of chromium was 89.61%,the products met the standard HG/T 2678—2007 and the mass fraction of Cr2O3 in the product could reach 31%.
