Study on preparation of large cube calcium carbonate by secondary carbonization of dolomite

Abstract:

Large cube calcium carbonate was prepared from dolomite in Hebei province,ammonium chloride and CO2 by secondary carbonization.The effects of carbonization temperature,the rate of CO2,the amount of CO2,aging temperature and aging time on the morphology of calcite calcium carbonate were researched,and the molding and growth process and law of calcium carbonate were explored.The results showed that under the conditions of carbon passage and carbon passage rate of 50 mL/min at 40 ℃,the first carbon passage was stopped at 200 s,the temperature aging was 90 min,and the second carbon passage and aging were continued for 40 min,the large cube calcite calcium carbonate could be prepared,the purity could reach more than 98%,the whiteness could reach 95%~99%,its morphology was regular,the particle size was larger,and the particle size was 15~20 μm.This research provided new ideas and new paths for the production of high-additive products from abundant carbonate minerals.
