Abstract:

The solubility of potassium chloride in water was measured by focused reflection beam measurement(FBRM).The preparation of KCl particle crystals and its particle size control rule under speed of 250 r/min were studied. The effects of con-sumption of primary particles, cooling rate and supersaturation on the coalescence of KCl in solution at this speed were inves-tigated.The results showed that: the solubility of potassium chloride increased with the increase of temperature;the faster the cooling rate led to the greater the instantaneous supersaturation of solution, the easier nucleation led to produce more parti-cles;when the optimal addition amount of primary particles was 0.05~0.1 g in 100 mL solution, the average particle size of the prepared crystal could reach 1 900~2 000 μm and the product had moderate particle size and good sphericity.
