Abstract:

:In order to solve the problem of treatment of chromium-containing wastewater from steel plant, the ultrasonic com-bined with traditional ferrite method was used to treat the chromium-containing wastewater from steel plant, and the chromium-ferrite products with certain economic value were recovered. The crystal structure of the products was analyzed by XRD.The effects of the content of ferrous sulfate and hydrogen peroxide, reaction time, sonication power and pH on the formation of chromium-ferrite were studied. The chromium-ferrite was examined by SEM and analyzed by energy spectrum. The results showed that whenn(Fe2+)∶n(Cr6+)=7∶1,adding 1.0 mL 3% H2O2,reaction time was 30 min, sonication power was 40 W and adjusting pH=10,the chromium-ferrite with good crystal form could be obtained. The chromium ferrite particles were nano-scale,and the contents of iron, chromium and oxygen basically met the requirements of each element content in ferrous chromite(FeCr2O4).
