Research progress in supported lithium ion sieve absorbents

Abstract:

Lithium ion sieve absorbent could extract lithium ion from brine or seawater economically.However,the lithium ion sieve absorbent usually is fine powder material.It is needed to make into filler for industrial use.The critical point in this pro-cess is to obtain absorbent with high adsorption capacity and long cycle life.The existing granulation and mold forming pro-cess result in lower adsorption capacity of lithium ion sieve absorbent.It is hoped to develop supported lithium ion sieve ab- sorbent without using organic polymer binder.Several commonly used lithium ion sieve absorbents,carrier materials and loading methods were summarized.The technical requirements of supported lithium ion sieve absorbents were presented.The preparation methods of some new supported lithium ion sieve absorbents were introduced.It is recommended to focus on the development of glass fiber supported lithium ion sieve absorbent H4Ti5O12 and alumina supported lithium ion sieve absorbent LiCl·2Al(OH)3.
