Countermeasures and suggestions for high-quality development of calcium carbonate industry and ecological environment protection in Guangxi

Abstract

There are both opportunities and challenges for Guangxi as the main undertaking place for the transfer and development of calcium carbonate industry in the future,under the background of green and high-quality development.In order to undertake the opportunities and challenges,calcium carbonate industry has been listed as one of the nine key industries during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period in Guangxi.By studying the development status and trend of calcium carbonate industry at home and abroad,it was analyzed the ecological environmental problems that need to be solved urgently in the development of calcium carbonate industry in Guangxi were mainly in five aspects:the unreasonable layout led to the limitation of the exploitation of calcium carbonate minerals,the exploitation of calcium carbonate was easy to cause the damage of ecological environment,dust pollution was prominent and there was great pressure to improve regional air quality,the low level of industrial technology and short industrial chain led to the low level of resource utilization,high energy consumption and carbon emission intensity led to low level of clean production.The countermeasures and suggestions for ecological environment protection were put forward from the aspects of optimizing industrial site selection and layout,promoting green mine construction,strictly implementing pollution prevention and control measures,strengthening comprehensive utilization of resources,implementing low-carbon clean production and strengthening environmental supervision by combining with practical work,so as to provide suggestions for the high-quality development of calcium carbonate industry in Guangxi.
