Synthesis of ZSM-5 aggregates assembled by oriented stacking nanosheets

Abstract

A new synthetic method of nanocrystalline silicate-1(S-2) was developed.Compared with the conventional sili-cate-1(S-1),S-2 had smaller particle size and smooth crystal surface.When S-2 was used as seed crystal to synthesize nano-ZSM-5 aggregates,the ZSM-5 aggregates were monodisperse particles with size of 0.8~1.0 μm,which were composed by the ZSM-5 crystals with the b-axis thickness of 60~80 nm.The ZSM-5 nanosheets were regularly stacked along the b-axis forming a unique pore structure,including a uniform pore size distribution with an average size of 1.3 nm and a wide pore size distribution of 25 nm.
