Abstract

The monoclinic scheelite bismuth vanadate(m-BiVO4) catalytic material was synthesized by a solvothermal method and characterized by XRD,BET,SEM,TEM,etc. It was found that the morphology and crystal facet of BiVO4 could be con-trolled by the pH value of the reaction solution, and m-BiVO4 with preferentially exposed(010) facet(BVO-010) was pre-pared at pH=7.With chlortetracycline hydrochloride(CTC-HCl),oxytetracycline(OTC),tetracycline(TC) and tetracycline hydrochloride(TCN) solutions as target pollutants, the degradation performance of the samples was evaluated. It was disclosed that compared to m-BiVO4 that mainly exposed the thermodynamically more stable(-121) facets(BVO-121),BVO-010 ex-hibited more outstanding photocatalytic performance, and the degradation rates of CTC-HCl,OTC,TC,and TCN were 77.9%,79.2%,63.6%,and 73.9%,respectively after 150 min illumination, which was expected to treat wastewater containing antibiotic drugs.
