Abstract

Layered double hydroxide(LDH) has widely attracted attention due to its rich active sites and the synergistic ef-fects of bimetallic. However, the preparation of novel LDH electrode materials with high rate performance and low resistance is still a challenge.Three-dimensional nano-flowered zinc-cobalt layered hydroxides(ZnCo LDHs) electrode material grown in situ on nickel foam(NF) current collectors were prepared by co-precipitation method.ZnCo LDHs@NF had large accessible surface area and extremely low inherent resistance(0.56 Ω).At the same time, the electrode material had high specific capa-city(1 583 F/g at current density of 1 A/g) and could still maintain specific capacity of 81%(1 280 F/g) at current density of 20 A/g.These excellent electrochemical properties indicate that the prepared ZnCo LDHs@NF electrode material has great application prospects in energy storage devices.
