Trend analysis and review of calcium carbonate production in China for the past 60 years

The development history of calcium carbonate production in China for the past 60 years was reviewed briefly.The industry of calcium carbonate production in China has experienced three stages,namely,exploration period,rapid development period and upgrading period,as well as has made great achievements.China has become the largest producer and consumer of calcium carbonate in the world,and has steadily become one of the most powerful producer.The development trend of China′s calcium carbonate production was analyzed from three aspects:the overall situation of the industry,products and technical equipment.It was pointed out that the calcium carbonate industry in China should persist in innovation driven,intensive development,ecological priority to achieve sustainable development;should focus on the production of fine,functional and special calcium carbonate;and should develop large-scale,continuous and intelligent equipment.
