Crystallization process optimization for preparation of lithium carbonate

The experimental study on the crystallization of lithium-containing brine in the process of preparing high-purity lithium carbonate by reaction of lithium chloride with sodium carbonate was carried out.The process parameters for the preparation of lithium carbonate by reaction crystallization was optimized by investigating the effects of reaction crystallization initial concentration,reaction temperature,feed rate,seed dosage,stirring rate,feed concentration and additives on the average particle size and crystal morphology of lithium carbonate products. Results showed that the morphology,particle size and solid-liquid separation effect of lithium carbonate crystal could be changed by regulating the reaction crystallization process of lithium carbonate under different optimized parameters.
