With the global environment pollution aggravation，the sulfur content in the marine fuel was strictly limited and the sulfur content changes of marine fuel were introduced at home and abroad.The IMO decides to tighten global marine fuel mass fraction to a maximum of 0.5% from 2020.The standard would have an important influence on the market of marine fuel. The lower sulfur middistillate demand would increase which was used to blend marine fuel，however，the marine fuel price would rise substantially，and it may be an opportunity for refineries which had higher conversion capacity.Meanwhile，the development of liquefied natural gas（LNG） as the alternative fuel will also have a new opportunity.
