Effect of sodium chloride content on recovery rate of potassium inprocess of reverse floatation-cold crystallization

Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">Method of reverse floatation-cold crystallization for preparation of potassium chloride is a relatively advanced technology.A detailed analysis on the production of potassium chloride by reverse floatation-cold crystallization process was made by using the phase diagram knowledge,from two aspects and the relationship of recovery rate of potassium chloride with the contents of sodium chloride was worked out.Results showed that with the increase of sodium chloride content in carnallite the recovery rate of potassium chloride will be decreased linearly;the recovery rate of potassium chloride which extracted from carnallite mine in the saltpan using the reverse-floatation cold crystallization method was generally about 50%.Therefore,the recovery rate of potassium chloride can be increased by controlling the sodium chloride content of carnallite mine in the saltpan,and furthermore, a mass of water can be saved.The study can be a guide for increasing the output and quality of potassium chloride during the production.</SPAN>
